The CERF electronic lab notebook software offers many key features that other ELNs just can’t. From multiple file drag-and-drop to the capability to support very technical data file types using plug-in modules, the flexibility and functionality of CERF makes the often overwhelming world of scientific data easy and manageable.

Basic Use of CERF

Basic Notebook Setup

Scientists carry out experiments using standardized protocols, and document their work as they go. All data relating to studies can be visualized in one location with the notebook.

File type compatibility

Any kind of file can be dropped into CERF and most can be visualized directly within the program, even normally difficult-to-standardize documents.

Date and Time Stamp

When documents and data are added to CERF, each record is time/date stamped, put under version control, tracked in the audit trail, and shared with team members according to access roles.

Collections and user workgroups

Set up Collections (Notebooks and Documents) and assign users, roles, and access using Workgroups.

Print to PDF

A critical step in patent protection and compliance is our Print to PDF feature, where experiment reports and lab records can be signed, witnessed and archived.
